Cracking Nutshell – What Stops Professionals from Becoming Entrepreneurs

It took quite a few months to sit and write for my blog again. What I was doing by this time has less importance to really know; whereas it would not be a bad idea to share the experiences I have been collecting to write this post!

I have been a professional in the Indian IT industry for more than half a decade, and the life was not that colorful to keep on writing for others – with a purpose may be for marketing or for entertainment, if not solely for information. Well, sometimes you go are forced to go technical while you wanted to be creative.

Everyone is born entrepreneur

Someone told me that a young man has a father sleeping inside, whereas I believe that an entrepreneur sleeps inside every grown-up guy or a woman. Especially, when you are in a developing country like India and suddenly getting to be almost flashed out of your stereotype life by a gusty wind or wave of Narendra Modi spread ‘Make in India’ or the type of enthusiasm. You get your hand dirty – this time trying to be an entrepreneur. Sometimes dirty affairs are not that dirty - at least one of the detergent power in Indian FMCG market claim that "dag achhe he[to get some dirt on your clothing]"

Trying to place some eggs in multiple baskets

As I mentioned earlier, I have few eggs and want to keep them in different baskets; at least a few would survive the unfriendly tussles while I would be trying to dawn a new avatar of being an entrepreneur.

I should not say that I have failed or succeeded in my entrepreneur run and now sitting to share those sweet and sour feelings. I am here while I am in the midway of my journey to become an entrepreneur. I thought to share a few points that may help you to understand how tough it could be to become an entrepreneur when someone is still a working professional of any organization!

It is not cocoon but a nutshell

Below I have shared my own struggling situation to dawn the role of an entrepreneur, in other words, what situation as a professional I have faced in doing own business is shared in this blog post. Gone are the days when you happen to consider yourself inside the cocoon – break out the shell easily eating the protein/food inside the shell – now it’s more of staying inside a nutshell that is quite strong to creak from within – you may get yourself killed inside like the insect inside the walnut. Yes, the pesticide spread outside the walnut would not hit you directly, rather makes the shell harder and difficult to break from inside.

Lose your bread in hand to earn a piece of cake nearby

There should not be any doubt in an entrepreneur’s mind that he or she must invest maximum time possible to get things placed on the right track or planned path. It is one of the beginner’s mantra to climb the ladder of success.

Well, investing enough time in the entrepreneurial efforts could be a challenging option for someone who is earning his daily bread from servicing an organization. Your serving organization needs more output than the stipulated/tabulated time limits ask you to invest in. If you could not innovate or contribute differently to the role you are serving, your primary bread earning machine- job could be in trouble!

Getting confused!

Now, this makes you feel helpless and confused to choose between the new or the old source of earning. You could see that investing a few more hours in your new step towards a new professional role (an entrepreneurship) may take you to new heights. However, your existing job responsibility demands more time to keep its promise of delivering the piece of bread that eventually running the engine within you.

Is it tough enough to decide between bread and cake while you are hungry? A piece of cake would douse the burning appetite within and can satisfy your testbeds. However, you must walk a mile to get it. While walking a few steps, you could get a piece of bread. The decision is yours.

Lose some of the eggs collected for the winter season

Someone, who beings their career with an entrepreneurial effort, could gamble anything to reach the target. What about you who has been in a service and collecting (saving) some hard-earned money for the future in the form of bonds or deposits in bank cellar?

When you are on an entrepreneurial journey, capital is something you would ever need to make liquid as and when to pour in different cups to offer in a lookout to gain some returns. Well, you can never make it assured to get back the way you could from the banks or other money-making instruments.

Putting eggs into boiling water

Are you ready to risk eggs by putting it into the boiling water and see those eggs starting to bounce suddenly? You should be careful enough to strain them out at the right moment without burning your hands or broking them! Either you risk your earning to see a brighter future or brace yourself to lose a chunk of savings that could have made your future relaxing without stoning at the hive of the honeybees!

Losing patience before seeing the seed transform to sprout

Patience is a virtue my dear and you must keep it remembered until you have explored all the means and spent time waiting to the extent possible to become an entrepreneur. Can you remember those days of searching job and not losing your nerves while being rejected time and again? Well, this situation is nothing of any sort for an early bud into entrepreneurial fleet. But these do matter to someone in the midway of their professional career. They have some money to invest into something that brings quick results. Well, the time they do not see the immediate outcome from the investments; now people are habituated to an environment where their managers ask for quick results. They lose their will to stick to anything. People must stay ready giving some time to the seed to sprout.

The zigzag road ahead

When you are on an entrepreneur journey, the destination is fixed but the roads may keep turning - pass through the tunnels, take on the zigzag shape – ultimately, the roads take your time making you impatient to reach the destination. There may not be the ‘on time’ reaching situations. If you can have unlimited faith in God whom you have never seen to help you directly, why are you not ready to have patience on something done by yourself? You should wait for the possibility of seeing the fruit. There are possibilities of getting a positive outcome in higher proportion than getting answers to your prayers from God. If you believe that God is busy to fulfil the desire cum wish of someone’ else, your entrepreneurial efforts will also bring results provided you give it sometimes. You got to be ready to carry a certain amount of patience – are you?

I am not done yet

Well, I am amid my entrepreneurial journey, and have found these three major roadblocks that tried to prevent me; in fact, still pulling me from behind. Next time I come across other such obstacles, I promise to share them here. Till then wish you good luck if you are an entrepreneur or have thoughts in mind of trying to be one in future. Bye for Now see you sometime or some days later with something poking me to write here for sharing with my readers.

Peering into The Future: Artificial Intelligence is The next Step in Online Advertising

A close look at the business expansion and diversification strategies of technology giants like Google, Apple, and Facebook have led me to a simple conclusion – Artificial Intelligence (AI) is trending and is going to dominate the future technological development. In the month of September 2016, Google acquired API.AI which developed ‘Siri’ like bot that can recognize speech, intent, and context of the commands. While in July 2016, Twitter Inc. had already acquired Magic Pony which works on improving User Experience through better image and videos search.

I was thinking about one thing, why the tech giants were spending crazy amounts to acquire these startups who were working on AI developments? Suddenly one notification popped up on my phone from online shopping marketplace Amazon and it was suggesting me the slashed prices of books on technical writing.I could connect things then! I understood that the era of suggestive advertising may be soon over with application of interactive advertisements.

Surpassing online AI already reached out of the home

A little research on AI led me to the world’s first artificially intelligent poster campaign which ran at a bus shelter outside Selfridges on Oxford Street in the month of July 2015. Though it appeared to be a simple poster for an instant coffee brand created by M&C Saatchi in partnership with Postercope and Clear Channel UK, a camera was integrated with the poster to capture peoples’ engagement based on their emotional reactions (happy, sad or neutral) after seeing the advertisement and the poster was writing creative copies at per those reactions.

I realized the AI has started spreading its influence quite a few years back on advertisement industry to give actionable insights of audience reactions, far from being suggestive; the campaign was a part of the trial which was putting AI to create self-writing ad campaigns in the interactive method!

SMS: Prices slashed by 30% for technical writing books - visit www.amazon.com today!

Coming back to Amazon notification again. I began to think how suggestive advertisements are influencing me? Are such ads still suggestive or the use of AI already has made them interactive? Data analysis is a part of AI and the big data analysis has made filtering of social sentiments, product pricing, predictive customer segmentation and sales forecasting easy. Added to the analysis and prediction is the use of image recognition, speech recognition, and content generation to push the boundary where creativity meets technology.

Is it advertising agencies or technology firms trying to add the human mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding (through thought, experience, and the senses) to mechanical processes? Well, my understanding of AI in the ad creation tells me thatAI is trying to give importance to what works than what a human being thinks it should be. I doubt the creative heads and copywriters must have started scratching their heads!

Let us try to understand few aspects of how AI is putting forward result-oriented advertisements with complete and accurate view on performance against every ad displayed online:

AI is helping to identify pattern of users’ decision making

Millions of people are active online and they have different mindsets towards products, services, and related advertisements. It is difficult to analyze their decisions; when people click on ads there could be predictions following the activities thereafter but what about people who stay neutral? Here comes AI with its deep learning process. The high level of abstraction methodology is put to understand data; the process involves analyses of deep graphs with multiple processing layers to craft features that recognize attitude, intention and overall mindset of the visitors of any web page or website (in any version of display – desktop, mobile or tablet).Added to these is a deeper analysis of historical data available from different e-commerce sites.

Here the funda of AI lies in an analysis process that uses a mathematical structure which is inspired by biological neurons in our brain to interpret user description, for example, in buying or selling analysis.

AI is personalizing ads with self-learning algorithm

A good example of machines learning from mistakes and developing self-learning algorithm could be of Yann LeCun, director of AI research at Facebook, who taught a computer system how to recognize the differences between images of dogs and cats. Every time the machine fails to recognize the difference, he would correct it until the program figured out (learned) the reason for its failure.

Deep data mining to segment content per location, weather, time and even gender, age, profession or interest of the user have been made a projection of adverts possible in a personalized version. AI has started newly to add speech recognition with natural language, and image recognition alongside search analysis. Such processes help in customer segmentation with personalized outlook.

The aim is precision in advertisement campaign management

All the AI elements right from deep learning process to image or speech recognition aim at providing a complete and accurate view of advertisement performance. Detailed reporting enables optimized delivery of ads to the targeted audience. It helps the businesses to invest in buying or selling of advertisement space in real-time at per their value to users. The AI has also made real-time bidding of advertisement space to generate more revenue without affecting the interest of the advertiser/investors.

To conclude, some questions would always remain open for the use of mechanical reaction or the Artificial intelligence in an advertisement. Even if it becomes possible to write code for any unlimited number of situations to present personalized advertisements via AI, how long it will take to rectify wrong mechanical manufactured expressions (“It’s late excellent blend time” and “Bahio is the new steam” as found in AI driven poster ad campaign mentioned earlier)? Will it be possible to add a genuine emotional (human) touch in presenting copies and content of advertisement through machine/program? AI developers and users are hopeful. I found Neil ChapmanfromClear Channel (though he is basically from out of home ad agency)being quoted in Marketing Week: “We know that this is merely scratching the surface of the potential for artificial intelligence in the digital out of home arena and are very much looking forward to exploring the possibilities this kind of technology presents for advertisers in the near future."

2016 Saw Large Corporates Finding Reasons to Acquire Promising Start-ups

In the year 2016,the world of Information Technology, along with us, sawthe giants like Apple, Google, and Intel acquiring promising start-ups Turi, Moodstocks, Itseez and the likes. Should we identify these as acts of killing the competition and competitor or gaining grounds in the field of nascent technology? Let’s script a drama around some acquisitions in anew unconventional structure.

Denouement (intention and outcome)

The general outcome of any acquisition and merger is the increased strength of acquirer and dilution of the acquired. Under the name of acquisition the act of silent butchery of growing competitors and establishing market supremacy take place. It would not be an exaggeration if we mark the year 2016 as breeding and budding time of machine learning, artificial intelligence and similar technologies that grew and showed its promising future from the nests of IT start-ups?

Let’s have a look at the activities of some giant corporates who acquired many start-ups. These may help us to understand what made them acquire rapidly growing and promising start-ups. Salesforce alone acquired 12 companies spending $5 billion; in other words, every month it acquired one company!

(set –Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning)

Act I, scene I:
Intel Corporation acquired computer vision and machine learning start-up Itseez in the month of May 2016 as part of its strategic shift from PC chip to cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and analyzing data from devices.

Scene II:
It seemed as if Google was waiting for a few months to analyze the outcome of Intel’s acquisition. In the month of September, it acquired API.AI which developed ‘Siri’ like bot that can recognize speech, intent, and context of the commands.

Act II, Scene I:
In Jan 2016 Apple acquired Emotient that works on Artificial Intelligence to develop technology for detecting emotion from facial expressions. After a few months, in July 2016, Twitter Inc. acquired Magic Pony which works on improving User Experience through better image and videos search.

Scene II:
How can any other company think something that relates to search bypassing Google! Yes, Google could not tolerate Twitter’s move and in the same month of July 2016, it acquired Moodstocks which develops machine-learning based image recognition technology.

Prolog (break the convention)

An Acquisition is no sudden incidents only from the likes of Google, Apple, Twitter or Intel. Cloud computing and king of CRM, Salesforce, was found to acquire PredictionIO in the month of February 2016. The start-up develops an open source-based machine learning server which would strengthen Salesforce’s grip in machine learning and data analytics. It also repeated the acquisition in April 2016 by acquiring MetaMind which works on predictive analysis to predict outcomes for language, vision, and database task. The end of the year 2016 saw Salesforce acquire Twinprime which works on app User experience optimization. Hat’s off to the aggressiveness of Salesforce for going to the ‘extreme’ level of acquisition (more than 40 acquisitions) which forced them to post a negative profit.

Creative Services –The Story Behind Its Presence in Business World

Being professional is necessary to run business, whereas getting creative is the mantra of bringing business. If a business fails to manifest itself to the world after distinguishing itself out of the crowd, if not today, tomorrow it sees the sunset. Creative services come from creative people to bring in creativity to the appearance of a business. Everybody can run business, but how you run it differently is what your client would like to see. While being innovative is the art of professionalism, thinking out of the box is creativity.

What is creative service?

Creative services point out to all sorts of a creative approach in upholding a business with all its characteristics. Starting from designing the face of the business, to branding and promotion - everywhere creativity keeps its mark of the successful approach.

What are the characteristics of creative services?

There is no certain form of creativity as its relative. To someone, an act of presenting anything may look creative, while another person may not see any creativity in the same work. So the characteristic of creative services can many. Some of those characteristics can be such as:

  • Uncertainty- There is no certain level of creativity defined. What seem to one as creative, to others seem normal
  • Beyond limit – Nobody can restrict creativity by limits. There is no exact point where creativity ends or rests. There is always scope for more or less
  • To eternity – Creativity is timeless. Nobody can tell that a work of creativity would last for a particular time span
  • Above comparison – Though we compare a piece creativity with a similar one, it is unjust to do so. Every creative element remains unique from the other
  • Priceless – Nobody can truly evaluate any work of creativity to tag it with a price. With the change of appreciator its value changes

What is the range of creativity?

There is no limitation to be creative. So creative services can be delivered through designing the looks of the business to marketing the product, services, and the brand entity. It is all about how you present your business through unique outlook. Same way, approaching the right people with the right agenda is highly important for a business. A creative mind can design the appearance of a product or service or the brand identity. On the other hand, the marketing team will deploy creative text and graphical presentation to win the heart of the probable customers.

What are the creative sectors?

Creative sector refers activities where exploration of information and knowledge is done with a creative bent of mind to mould or reshape the clients’ business presence. As the creativity is essential for every business to flourish, the creative services are delivered via several creative sectors. Some of the sectors are like:

Branding: Advertising and marketing

Who are behind creative services?

A team of creative people delivers creative services. A team generally consists of visualizers, designers, developers, writers, online and off-line marketers and anyone who add creative touch to a business. You can own a creative team in-house for your business or hire creative minds to deliver professional creative services for your business.

Should you own a creative team?

If your business requires constant creative touch and you can afford to bear the cost of maintaining creative people, own a team. Your business presence would always be better, till the time your people fail to breathe in fresh air to your business presence.

Why outsource creative services?

There can be many reasons to hire creative minds for shaping or reshaping your business presence. Some of the reasons are:

  • Breathe in fresh air – Sometimes one set of people may not ideate something new or creative. Hiring new people from creative service providers will always bring the new thoughts
  • Bringing variety – There can be a limitation of deliverable to an in-house team. Hiring creative expert, your creative approach can gain variety of services
  • Cost & quality – You do not always have to spend for maintaining the in-house creative team. Get creative services from others and demand any higher level of quality
Hopefully, you have understood why creative services are important for any business. Your business can only stand in the crowd when a creative team is working for your business. Now it is up to you to go for in-house team or hire people to deliver creativity. Make the selection on the basis of your capability and capacity.

Sunny Leone and Bhupendra Choaubey Interview Questions Scripted By A New Hypocrite

Today at office I came across a hot news. Sunny Leone is ‘humiliated’ in an interview by CNN IBN journalist Bhupendra Choaubey in his famous hosted show "The Hot Seat". Naturally, being a die-heart FAN of Porn Queen, Sunny Leone, I was excited to delve deep into the matter, at least watch the interview uploaded on YouTube. As watching the video about the most googled celebrity of India, I decided to keep calm and wait for the night to come to explore about the night queen, otherwise, googling about her at office may lead my service at stake!

The Context of the night with Sunny Leone and Bhupendra Choaubey

At last came the night of 21st January 2016 when I sat to watch the interview in YouTube alone without risking anybody of moral corruption. I found that the excitement was too much from the IBN journalist cum anchor Bhupendra and was reflecting from his own words – desire of asking nasty questions. However, after watching the 20 odd minutes of enticing & spicy conversation and becoming morally corrupted like Bhupendra, I started to script my set of questions for Sunny Leone and Bhupendra by her side, of course.

My Confession to my readers

Before noting down the questions from my side, I must confess something – I had resisted myself for the night from browsing Porn Hub to watch a few short clips of Sunny Leone. I pray this has not affected the revenue of the website! Hopefully, Karanjit Kaur (aka Sunny Leone) would continue producing more bodily videos in future without regretting the interview or the entry to Bollywood where most of the film stars reject acting opposite to her! I am fonder of the lioness who roars at night better than her sunny avatar in the daylight and lime light of Indian film industry.

My set of interview questions to Sunny Leone and Bhupendra Choaubey

While I fast browsed the interview video in my mobile phone yesterday afternoon, the view was just 200 thousand only. But at this moment after 24 hours it has crossed 679 thousand. It proves how popular the night queen is to Indians and people across the globe! Now few questions in line of Bhupendra thought process are coming to my mind and those are:

Q – How should I write the script for interviewing the duo so that it can increase the TRP of the channel I would be representing for?

Within 24 hours the views of the videos in YouTube must cross 1 million and there should be rain of tweets and flood of discussions on Facebook pages, ultimately, I should get great offers from different frontline electronic media to be editor in chief (to decide what should be aired for better business) or write special columns or scripts to increase business of the sinking boats.

Q – How and what should be my choice of words to the queen to strip her in front of million viewers?

Should those be like – loath, exciting, body, curiosity, hatred, morality, corruption, item-girl, nasty, porn queen or something better than this! There has to be words that strip her completely from within.

Q – How had she dealt the first shoot for the first porn film – how was the level of comfort – was it enjoying or tolerant?

Was it truly enjoying or something to the level of tolerance compared to Bhupendra’s rape with words! Should I ask for some moments worth memorable and sharing with audience!

Q – How deep research, Mr. Bhupendra, you have done to justify your humiliation of a woman to millions?

If you don’t mind would you like to share the number of tweets you have got to ask nasty questions, the approx number of questions/information shared on your Facebook page/wall? Would you mind sharing the articles you read to understand Sunny’s past or may be the number of videos that determines Sunny’s real asset was and is her body.

Q – Instead of what went wrong, what wrong should be done to push her back again to porn industry where she is queen?

I must ask some questions to make her realize that it was no wrong decision to jump into porn industry to sustain a life, but trying the Bollywood is the greatest mistake she has ever made.

In other way, I must make her confess that she has not come to Bollywood to become an actress, it is to take India to the top as porn consuming country or for better revenue for herself or the sites from which she claims business.

Q – Mr. Bhupendra, what mistake she must make to prevent her coming back to ‘mainstream’ of life?

Should she sleep or make videos with some of the top journalists in India to get proper media reviews for her new life venture she is trying for last 4 years.

Q – How should I make her feel upset to come to the conclusion that she must have asked for the script from me to know the questions to be asked?

How to make her reveal that either we are fool to make noise of her humiliation as she read the script of Bhupendra? It has to come to light that she is paid to take any sort of questions for marketing of the film ‘Mastizaade?’

Q – Should I ask some tips from Sunny to become the most searched person on internet in India or follow Bhupendra in such case?

I think in this case Bhupendra should be the best option to offer the right tips to easily become popular over internet in hours than walking through the struggle-some poky, thorny paths of Sunny.

Q – Should I directly ask Sunny about what body parts arise curiosity among her fans or the answer/opinion is available with Bhupendra?

I think the answer is better available with someone who has read a lot of worldwide acclaimed articles about Sunny or done a ‘good research’ on her. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Q – Does she like the ‘negative’, ‘nasty’ and ‘hateful’ attitude of Indian women when they see their husbands are indulged in Sunny videos?

She must thank this time Bhupendra to uphold the correct opinion. Indian women are not that much careful in making their husbands happy, otherwise, men could not have opted for sunny videos instead of heading towards red lighted streets. Bhupendra can better tell about the feelings of Indian woman who are going morally down just for their husbands’ watching of sunny bright videos. Before Sunny’s launch in Bollywood, the Indian women were thousand time happy with their husbands and sons who used to take loads of care about them with full of respect. It is Sunny for whom Nirbhayas are not safe on Indian streets.

Q – Why Sunny is not promoting open sex scenes in silver and small screen in India so that she becomes also acceptable to Indian family audience in sunny day light?

We should allow her as Indian families are ready to accept hot bed scenes on silver screen to a great extent. On the small screen serials like 'Sabdhan India' and 'Crime Patrol' are serving really hot juicy scenes and we are enjoying. We must try to take just one step forward and it is done in becoming grownup audience.

Q – Has she offered any Bollywood star a night to test and accept the level of satisfaction of working with Sunny Lioness?

She should accept the “truth” that Indian film industry is free of casting couch. Otherwise, a few big stars should have acted with her without having any “inhibition.”

Q – Are you wasting time in Bollywood by acting or you are marketing yourself for better revenue for your porn business?

There must be monetary interest in acting in Bollywood otherwise who wastes time in becoming brand ambassador of porn in India? I think that is the reason being hated and got negative response from Indian woman, still you are making yourself only icon of moral degradation of Indian values! Even people like Bhupendra feels he became morally corrupted for the first time sitting with you in the interview.

Q – Why don’t you feel hatred against people like Bhupendra who does feel corrupted morally to talk with you but would be happy to move the clock back to lose virginity with you?

Remember, watching (researching) about you does not corrupt personality but speaking and touching you could spread ‘moral AIDS.’ He must be ready to spin the clock back to gain his youth to spend some time with you, however, you may not be mature then to tolerate him! He loves you in your past activity – isn’t it?

Q- In India why are you not promoting child porn as juvenile rape is beyond punishment here?

You should take this proposal to who’s who of porn industry to explore this business opportunity in India. It can make you and the businesses rich. When children are carrying your videos in their mobile devices, they must be happy to share videos made on children of their age! Ops! It would certainly churn greater revenue from the adults.

India has grown up, they are accepting light bed scenes in movies, before film industry itself grabs the greater share of light, you must pounce on it.

Q – Why are you not dating Indian politicians openly and try to become their confident to compete in the next general election to become MP or MLA? Have you started already?

In India rapists, murderers and thieves can become contestants of parliament seats and even become ministers. They are ‘Bahubalis’ (they win by the gun power), you would not have to do the same! in India You are already second in the popularity to Prime Minister Mr. Modi – you would surely win; don’t worry, Indian women still do not vote by their will, they are guided by their male dominators in family. You have already won them so you could be even next Prime Ministerial candidate. No need to even think of citizenship, if Indians are ready to accept foreigners, Italian as Prime Ministers even, you have blood of an Indian running in your vein!

Q – Would you like to be ‘officially’ brand ambassador of Indian tourism as your level of tolerance is higher than Aamir Khan?

You really have greater level of tolerance and you have proved it by tolerating Bhupendra Choaubey who stripped you with his words in front of camera! Millions of people like you act or acted upon, in other words, your popularity is no less than Aamir in India.

Q – Would you like to give some tips to Indian women regarding make ups and dressing to keep their husbands at bay from sunny lights and movements?

Bhupendra has revealed and took your confession that in future you would be draped from top to toe in saree. This must be indication towards your acceptance and adaptability to Indian culture and who knows you are planning something big in saree to teach Indians something well known to them!

Q – What images and tags I should use about you so that my articles and scripts become worldwide popular and people like Bhupendra start getting inspired by them to script moralistic, ethical journalism?

Bhupendra has adorned you with tags like ‘item girl’, ‘porn queen’, New India brand Icon and so on. He has got so much popularity and might have already got huge proposals. Who knows, I could get such an offer and become face of a channel...

Q – If given better offer, would you only sit with Bhupendra to give TRP rise of any other channel, What would be the point of acceptance – money or rejection – Bhupendra?

You know it very well; money can make anybody do anything. You have confessed that you are paid to sit for that interview with Bhupendra, if any other such offer comes, you must not be asking for questions to be asked.

Q – What would you like to be called or admired as to your fans?

Porn queen, actress, item girl, women.

Q – What would you like to call the following community/fraternity or individuals

a) Bhupendara Chaubey -
    i) Hypocrite ii) True Journalist iii) Guardian of Indian morality
b) Electronic Media -
    i) Part of hypocrisy ii) Mirror iii) Medium of business
c) Sukanta Kundu -
    i) Hypocrite ii) Opportunist iii) Defender of Pornography iv) Defender of Indian values
d) Indian policy makers -
    i) Hypocrite ii) Indians iii) Tolerant iv) Opportunists

Thank you very much for tolerating me with such questions. Hopefully, I am able to strip you better than Bhupendra Chaubey. I am also hopeful that once again I would get chance to script at least another set of questions that would better reveal your past more than what you are in the present. Such interview would definitely, shape future of both – at least huge monetary gains from more TV shows for me and increased fan and followers for you.

Digital Classroom Is Future, Blackboard Arises Nostalgia

If your school days were in ’90s or early 2000, you can remember the blackboards and chalks being used in classrooms. I can still remember how history teachers used to throw chalks and dusters at the back-benchers! Sometimes I also used to dodge sitting at the 2nd bench and punishments used to be kneel down outside the classes. However, today my nephew does not look at the blackboards and ask the teachers what he or she has written on the 3rd line or the lines extreme down. Reason is simple – he enjoys studies in digital classrooms.

Well, I tried to find out what could be the benefits of digital classrooms? How this new generation classroom is transforming education system? And my findings came something like what I am jotting down below:

Improved demonstration due to familiarity with topic of discussion

Earlier, what will be demonstrated in the classes used to remain in the notes of the teachers. They used to come and write on the blackboards and students had to instantly grab those ideas. No point of early assumption/preparation could be there. However, students now get the lectures or classroom discussion copies beforehand and prepare them to face the classes with inputs ready to be added.

Similarly, teachers now do not have to land in classes with alien topics that could seem to most of the students as rocket science. Students know what will be discussed and teachers can expect familiarity of students with topics. Blackboards are replaced with projectors and computers. Voice reach till the last bench with microphones or headphones in use.

Interactive learning leads to better understanding of the subjects

In our times, we used to take note of the discussions in the classrooms. We used to have little time of question and answer sessions with teachers on every class. But digital learning has given time for interactions. Teachers know what to discuss and students stay ready to ask questions prepared before the classes begin.

Gone are the days of text based discussions! Now audio and visual representation of the topics provide students better understanding of the subjects. They can relate their subject with the world and clear doubt from the knowledge spread across world wide web. Teachers also enjoy same freedom to quickly expand the horizon of learning to the students.

Equal opportunity and reach of learning from 1st bench to the last

Most of my friends used to sit in the last benches to avoid studies. On the other hand, meritorious students used to claim the front rows by default. The pathetic conditions used to be with students like me who used to sit from or after 4th or 5th benches till nearing the last bench. Either they were deprived of the visibility of writings on the blackboards or tortured, humiliated by the last-benchers and even the toppers!

This does not happen now with digitization. Study materials reach to every student equally. It means, now even last-benchers cannot escape the notes or stay passive. They have to interact with teachers shading all excuses. Physical disability is no more a restriction against learning opportunity. From anywhere classrooms are available. One more thing is provision of jointing the class from outside. If a student is sick or by any mean cannot attend the class physically, they can join online. Everybody can learn and get share of learning equally.

Well, there are so many advantages of digital classroom, I found these really strong enough to replace the blackboard and add projectors, e-learning materials and computers in classes. Being nostalgic is good but accepting something for the better future is receptivity.

Together we can make difference

Swami Vivekananda said – “Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man…” I think digital classrooms are helping teachers to bring out that knowledge hidden in students through accessibility, interactivity and equal opportunity. I pray to God that every student of India can get this opportunity of digital learning.

I hope before my death, I can see this happening. I am ready take step in making this happen, now others (the reach, businessmen and Government) should come with true desire and funding. There should be more instances like Procter and Gamble to come forward with corporate social responsibilities where one slogan is - “parega India to barega India (education will take India ahead).” They are trying to take education to all, the next step can be digital classrooms – if not today, tomorrow for sure.

Let’s Start a New Life – My life with Insulin – Shifting Gear from Type 2 to Type 1 Diabetes

First of all, let me pray to God for not cursing anybody with Diabetes! Once you come under the grip of silent killer – diabetes, your entire life changes dramatically and drastically. You are not any more a common man – you are special.  What the specialty is about? In simple words, you are no longer someone to dare a life with ‘I don’t care.’ What till date your elders have been advising to lead a balanced life, now you have to learn to balance every step you take in your life.

However, it is needless to say that there are two types of life with diabetes – one Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes. In Type 1 you are born insulin dependent as your body does not produce Insulin. On the other hand, in Type 2, you first get detected with insulin resistance or deficiency, afterwards, you find your body stops producing insulin.

Everything is in your hand- You can lead a happy life with a remote control in your hand

I am not writing this piece to discourage my reader! I am trying to tell you some facts that I have experienced and I strongly feel that I must share these with to let readers be aware of the truth; I have seen only few blogs or information is available on the truth of a life with insulin.

Well, as I have said the remote control is in your hand and you can lead a happy life, I am no way joking. Let me point out a few scenes/scenarios that I am dealing within a few days of starting insulin:

A strong hunger anytime – In my Type 2 situations, hunger was there but it was not that much strong! I could wait to get the food ready. But now I start to feel shivering in my body and it does not stop until I take a dose of sucrose/glucose – may be chocolates, a glass of sugarcane juice, glucose syrup, direct sugar or the likes to restore sugar level in my body fast. Sometimes you feel extreme dry throat and even water does not help until glucose restores to a balanced level.

A strict timing in meals – The moment I went to my doctor complaining about these hunger and dry throat, he confirmed to start insulin after seeing the rising level of sugar in blood, as the report shows. Now, he told me to be very careful in taking foods and timing of the meals. He told that the morning should start with a dose of insulin and then there can be one and half hours break to have something again. These should be snacks to avoid empty stomach. Now I can see what an uncontrollable situation arrives when I miss this schedule. The dinner is followed by another dose of insulin.

A sudden drop of blood glucose at night – You have to stay prepared to face low level of sugar (hypoglycemia) at night. While you are sleeping, suddenly you wake up to feel sweating and hunger and little delay to take a dose of glucose leads to shivering again. So it is better to keep some food ready to take immediately after you wake up in those situations.

What to expect from a life with insulin as its inseparable part

Trust me, life is always easy and comfortable when you start taking insulin. After telling you the above situation, you must be laughing to hear such comment! But these situations are much better conditions than what could have been worse without taking insulin. As you know, diabetes is a silent killer when it controls your life, Insulin stops it from snatching your happy journey to a smooth exit at a desired time.

A side-effective free treatment- There are so many side-effects of taking oral medications for longer time. But insulin never does the same. It wound not hurt your organs and decrease their efficiency by pressurizing their activity.

Smooth life controlled in style-  Yes, once insulin starts, you begin to feel absence of the dozy and dizziness with tired conditions. Such situations used to come when you are not with insulin and most of the times it occurs after having some food. The extra amount of glucose running in your blood creates such condition. If your dose of insulin is proper, you can avoid such uneasy feeling.

Tension free life against sudden imbalanced blood glucose – In a life with insulin, you are on controlled diabetes. You do not have to take tension of what is happening inside your body – the damaging effects of excess glucose running in your blood. Insulin kills the extra glucose at the maximum level. Sudden rise or fall of glucose stops within a few days after your body responses to new entity (insulin) from the outside.

There is nothing to conclude as life with insulin moves smoothly…

As I told in the beginning, this is not a blog piece only, it is true experience to be shared in parts, I would like to tell you things as those comes to me in near future. I would like to update this piece after an interval when more shareworthy information piles up and I can steal some time to write from my hectic professional life. But I promise to share more in the next slots. There may be some other things to share in this blog, till date I personally requesting you to come out of the unnecessary tension that disturbs your life with diabetes. Believe me your life is going to change when you are leading a life with insulin…
